Penguin Computing Names Sidney Mair as Senior Vice President of Federal Systems

Company to Expand Business in the Federal Government Sector

FREMONT, CA – May 7, 2015 – Penguin Computing, provider of high performance computing, enterprise data center and cloud solutions, today announced Sidney Mair to the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Federal Systems.

Mair has more than 30 years of business experience, including a significant record of increasing government market revenues for private sector companies. He’s served in leadership positions as CEO, President, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Director of Business Development, Regional/District Sales Manager and in direct selling roles with several companies. His background involves leading across all aspects of the federal market, including the Department of Defense, Homeland Security, and civilian agencies in both classified and unclassified areas, as well the Executive and Congressional branches of government.

Mair has a Master’s Degree in Leadership and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math and Computer Systems. He began his career at NASA and has led organizations in the computing industry across a wide range of hardware and software technologies, primarily in the High Performance Computing markets.
