Penguin Solutions at GTC24 – HPC, GPUs, and AI… Oh My!
Penguin Solutions was part of the busy week in San Jose at NVIDIA’s annual GPU Technology Conference aka GTC24. The developer-centric audience experienced four full days of workshops, panels, demos, and a 2-hour keynote from NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, announcing several breakthroughs set to innovate AI and HPC development across every vertical and industry application.
In-person attendees that stopped by Penguin Solutions’ booth had impactful conversations with our experts, and learned how our solutions power next-gen applications and workloads on HPC infrastructure made to design, build, deploy and manage AI and accelerated computing infrastructures at scale. Booth visitors also learned about our NVIDIA DGX-ready Managed Services Provider certification, a full-service integration for AI solutions.
Speaking Sessions at GTC24
Mark Adams, President and CEO of SGH, Penguin Solutions’ parent company, joined the panel, Recruiting, Retention, and Reorganizing in the Era of Artificial Intelligence, along executives from NVIDIA, UPS, AWS, and Georgia Tech. They discussed challenges and strategies associated with building, re-skilling and augmenting the workforce as organizations seek to thrive in this new era.
“Happiness is about connection and common purpose. That’s what work is. Connection as a team, and a purpose. It doesn't mean you can't fail or succeed,” said Adams when asked about retaining the right talent. “A filter for retaining employees is making sure they came with experience in teams – whether its theater or sports or music – but that they contributed to a greater good. That type of retention and philosophy will be a great reward as they think about building a better life for individuals as part of a team.”
